The existing service has to increase palliative care credibility both in an academic health care environment of the medical university as well as amongst the community at large. The service, its importance and value are not yet well understood everywhere. For this, the manpower is inadequately trained with less logistic support and other paraphernalia.

in a tertiary academic centre if successfully developed can make a significant impact on the overall healthcare system as well as can draw attention to the policy maker of the country.
